SyncIRL LLC ("SyncIRL," "we," "us," or "our") operates the SyncIRL mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our app.

Information you provide directly:
- Account information: Name, email address, date of birth, and password when you create an account.
- Phone number: Provided during phone verification. Used for account security, ticket delivery via SMS, and event reminders.
- Profile information: Profile photos, bio, gender, and interests you choose to share.
- Payment information: Payment details are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your full credit card number on our servers.
Information collected automatically:
- Location data: With your permission, we collect your approximate location to show nearby events, venues, and people. Your exact location is never shared with other users — only approximate distance.
- Device information: Device type, operating system, and app version for troubleshooting and optimization.
- Usage data: How you interact with the app, including events viewed, venues visited, and features used. This helps us improve the experience.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide, maintain, and improve the SyncIRL app and its features.
- Verify your identity and secure your account via phone verification.
- Deliver ticket confirmations, event reminders, and account notifications via SMS.
- Connect you with nearby events, venues, and other users based on your interests and location.
- Process ticket purchases and other transactions.
- Enforce our Terms and Conditions and prevent fraud or abuse.
- Communicate with you about your account, updates, and support requests.
3. SMS and Phone Communications
By providing your phone number and completing verification, you consent to receive the following SMS messages from SyncIRL:
- One-time verification codes for account security and login.
- Ticket confirmations and QR codes for events you purchase.
- Event reminders for events you have tickets for or expressed interest in.
Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on your activity. You can opt out of non-essential SMS at any time by replying STOP. Verification codes required for login cannot be opted out of while your account is active.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:
- With other users: Your profile information (name, photo, bio, interests) is visible to other SyncIRL users as part of the app's social features. Your phone number, email, and exact location are never shared with other users.
- Service providers: We use third-party services to operate the app, including Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payment processing), Twilio (SMS delivery), and Mapbox (maps). These providers only access data necessary to perform their services.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or government request, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of SyncIRL, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, secure authentication, and access controls. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes.
7. Your Rights and Choices
- Access and update: You can access and update your profile information at any time through the app's settings.
- Delete your account: You can request account deletion by contacting us. We will process your request within 30 days.
- Location: You can disable location access through your device settings. Some features may not function without location data.
- Notifications: You can manage push notification preferences in the app settings or your device settings.
- SMS opt-out: Reply STOP to any SMS message to opt out of non-essential messages.
8. Children's Privacy
SyncIRL is not intended for anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 18, we will delete that information promptly.
9. Third-Party Links
The app may contain links to third-party websites or services, including ticketing platforms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy in the app or sending you a notification. Your continued use of SyncIRL after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
11. California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information.
